To apply for a program

1. Choose which program you’re interested in from our list of Overseas study options or contact us if you’d like some help deciding what’s the right program for you.
   

2. Fill out our online application form.
   

3. Within a week of having filled out our online application form, you will receive a letter from AIM Overseas along with 2 copies of our ‘Conditions of participation’.
   

4. To finalise your application you will have to use the enclosed pre-paid envelope to send us:
   

5. •A copy of your academic transcript (either an original or a print-out of the internet screenshot is fine)
   

6. •1 signed copy of our ‘conditions of participation’ (the other is yours to keep)
   

7. •2 passport sized photos
   

8. AIM Overseas will advise you of the outcome of your application. If accepted, you will receive in the post a comprehensive acceptance pack, which will include:
   

9. •A letter of acceptance from AIM Overseas
   

10. •Process for applying for credit & funding at your university
    

11. •An invoice for the $300 deposit due within 2 weeks
    

12. •A copy of the program syllabus to use in applying for credit
    

13. •A pre-departure checklist
    

14. Pay your deposit to secure your place on the program. From here on you have our full support in seeking credit and funding from your home university, and helping you prepare for your upcoming trip.

Can I receive credit for my overseas intensive course?

All our programs are designed to count for credit as electives. However, it is up to your course convenor to decide whether they will approve some credit for your participation in one of our programs. For them to be able to make a decision, you will have to provide them with a copy of the course syllabus, which you will find included in your acceptance pack.

How do I fund my overseas studies?

1. You might be eligible for a $5500 OS-HELP loan from the Australian Government, if:
   

2. you’re an undergraduate student with 1 year of study behind you by the time you go on our program and have at least 1 semester left to complete after you return from our program, and
   

3. the AIM Overseas program you’re taking part in is counting for credit towards your degree

5. You might also be eligible for a travel grant from your university.
