Helene Tretheway talks about her experience

This International Law and Human Rights program is taught in English and run by AIM Overseas’ partner in the beautiful Czech town of Brno, Masaryk university.
The town of Brno, in the east of the Czech Republic, is a stunning little town at the cross-roads of Europe: Vienna, Prague, Bratislava and many other destinations are just a few hours away.
The course is a great mix of lectures, sites visits and fieldtrips making for a very dynamic program. Over 3 weeks, you will attend classes for a total of 36 hours and visit relevant sites such as the Ombudsman’s office or the Constitutional Court in Brno.
The program also includes some fantastic overnight trips to the Czech Capital, Prague, as well as to Budapest in Hungary and Vienna in Austria to visit the United Nations office.
Brno, metropolis of Moravia, lies in Central Europe two-hundred kilometres away from Prague, Vienna and Bratislava offering many opportunities for tourism.

Brno prides itself on many notable historic sites that show evidence of its rich cultural history. Today Brno is a seat of universities and important judiciary institutions (Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, Supreme Prosecutor’s Office) .
Getting Credit
AIM Overseas works closely with many Australian universities and when you apply for a program, AIM Overseas is able to provide you advice and support in seeking credit in Australia for your overseas program.
Many of our students obtain credit towards their Australian degree, or other qualification, for the program they take overseas.
The possibility of getting credit towards a university degree varies depending on a student’s personal circumstances, the program they select and their degree. Contact AIM Overseas to discuss your personal case.
Applying for funding
Travel Grants
Many of the Australian universities offer travel scholarships/grants to their students to help them undertake international study experiences.
AIM Overseas can usually provide basic information about available grants but you should check your university website and pop in your international office to find out what grants your university offer, what are the conditions and eligibility criteria and fill out an application form.
