Program Overview

This International Finance Trade from an East Asian perspective program is taught in English and run by AIM Overseas’ partner in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

The course takes full advantage of the location and is a great mix of lectures and sites visits

making for a very dynamic program.

Over 3 intensive weeks, you will attend 36 hours of classes where you will take an in-depth look at the international dimension of finance from the viewpoint of both the market and the company. You will consider how different types of companies (public, private, start ups) make finance decisions and raise the necessary financing.

The course will also address the different financial and strategic aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Attention will be devoted to the investment funds industry, the different types of funds and investment strategies that exist and look at how Hong Kong maintains its leading role within East Asia.

The program will involve interactive group work

and visits to places such as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the Monetary Authority, the Securities and Future Commission etc.
